After few day without updates, please note that Rammstein is going to France. There will be two concerts, first in Lyon (Halle Tony Garnier), second in Strasbourg (Zénith). Both concerts will have the same supporting group: Combichrist and the set list is to be expected the same as previously advised.
Dear all, as you may have noticed, I created a new domain called blog.affenknecht.com. This sub-site is dedicated to bands from Germany (not necessarily singing in their mother language). I started the project with some of the band I was interested in.
The main objective of the blog is: to provide more info about German music, to extend your knowledge and to keep you updated. To find some comprehensive info in English on this topic is not that easy – that’s why I want this project to be promoted.
And now the most important thing: I am looking for people willing to write for this blog. And for the first time in history, this will be PAID (in the beginning I will donate this project, later on I will try to find some sponsors).

After an amazing concert in Prague, Rammstein is moving to Poland to play for an audience in Katowice. The supporting band will be Combichrist (and their setlist is supposed to be the same like 2 days ago)
Spodek (saucer in Polish) is a multipurpose arena complex in Katowice, Poland, opened in 1971 at 35 Korfanty Street under the name Wojewódzka Hala Widowiskowo-Sportowa w Katowicach (Voivodeship Sport and Show Arena in Katowice), under which it is known in the Polish technical/architectural literature, and under which it formally functioned until 1997.
Aside from the main dome, the complex includes a gym, an ice rink, a hotel and three large car parks. It is the largest indoor venue of its kind in Poland. It hosts many important cultural and business events. Music concerts are especially common non-sport events. Spodek can hold 11,500 people, although this number is in practice limited to 10,000 or even 8,000 due to stage set-ups obscuring the view. Its name is “saucer” in Polish as it resembles a tilted flying saucer. Spodek is a major contribution to the cultural significance of Katowice in Poland, especially for the younger generations. UPDATE: I just want to ask other people if they experienced the effect, when one fan was burning on the stage – was this real or prepared during the Prague show? I am not sure, I just read a gutter press article that it was real…(which is hard to believe)

During the Rammstein show at the Wiener Stadthalle on Saturday were no agency Journalists / photographers allowed. Also in Germany, Rammstein wants to allow only photographers under strict restrictions.
Moreover, it was fixed in the contract that Rammstein may use the images free for their own purposes. The Treaty should allow the band to use some photos for websites without extra compensation. The German Journalists’ Association (DJV) has already protested and called on the record company to withdraw the photo contract.
The whole thing does not surprise me at all. Please let me know into comments if you have experienced this behavior also with other bands.
