In the current Universal Music Press Newsletter, we’ve been advised that the next Rammstein single Ich tu dir weh (“I hurt you”) will be released on December 18th, 2009.

The video for the single was filmed in October, directed by Jonas Åkerlund in Berlin.

Rammstein have been nominated for the 1LIVE radio award in the category “Bester Liveact” (best live-act).

Until December 3rd you can make your vote for the band here!
The 1LIVE Krone radio award will take place in Bochum on 3 Dec 2009.

From Portugal directly to Spain. Madrid (Palacio de Deportes) will be the second place of 2009 Rammstein Tour. Combichrist will be the supporting act.

The time has finally come and Rammstein will start their tour just today (8th November, 2009). The first concert will take place in Lisbon (Portugal) and the supporting act will be Combichrist.

Please be advised that Rammstein’s latest album, “Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da” has been ‘indexed’ as it is commonly referred to in Germany, meaning that the album cannot be sold to minors and cannot be stocked on store shelves.

The album will now only be made available for purchase behind the counter at shops that still carry the album. Word is that the tracks “Ich Tu Dir Weh” and “Pussy” along with some promotional imagery featuring guitarist Richard Kruspe spanking a female were cause for the Kreisjugendpfleger (district youth guardian) to act.

With the songs being indexed, the band will not be allowed to perform them live which could cause potential problems down the road as “Ich Tu Dir Weh” was reportedly scheduled to be the next single and a video has already been shot according to band members.

“Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da” is the first Rammstein album to be indexed. In 2007, religious groups, child welfare authorities and other ‘do-gooders’ petitioned the Kreisjugendpfleger to hold a hearing on indexing Rammstein’s entire back catalog. The review board dropped the petition allowing the albums to continue to be sold.

In a radio interview, Paul and Flake confirmed that they shooted a new video for the song Ich tu dir weh. The video was directed again by Jonas Åkerlund (can we expect some pervert things as always?).

As a conclusion this song will be the next single.

Herzeleid.com forum member ‘konkelo’ has reported back the setlist played at tonight’s show. The show is one of three being performed and this week in Berlin before the band heads out on a fiery European tour.
