Update on Upcoming Tour and Next Live DVD

Christian Flake Lorenz was interviewed by the japanese magazine “Burrn!”, while Rammstein were touring north-america in May. Flake confirmed in that interview that the concerts of New York and Montreal from past December were indeed recorded, and will be used as material for the next live DVD. A spanish translation of the original interview can be found at Rammstein Mexico.

Regarding the upcoming tour, Christoph Schneider gave an interview to the mexican television channel “TeleHit”, where he confirmed that such tour will indeed have a new setlist, comprised of Rammstein greatest hits. You can view the interview here (in english, with spanish subtitles).

Finally, concerts for Finland and Belgium have already sold-out, within hours after tickets were put on sale. You can confirm this information here.

Rammstein – Mutter tour DVD petition

There is petition for release a live concert on DVD of german hard rock band “Rammstein”, from “Mutter tour” (in years 2001-2002). They recorded their live show in Berlin at 18. – 19. 5. 2001 and the fans want to buy whole concert on DVD (or Blu-Ray).

Rammstein released two songs from this concert on DVD “Lichtspielhaus” When there will be 500 000 signatures, they will give this petition to Pilgrim Management. You can see the petition here.

Affenknecht opinion: they will not release the old stuff, but the new LIFAD tour instead. They may add some old songs from Berlin, but this is not probable. Pilgrim management will earn more money with actual songs, shot in better resolution for Blu-Ray (I am sure they were not using necessary cameras in 2001). But anyways, good luck to petitioners!

DVD from NYC and Montreal + a Best Of album April 2011

Two days ago, Oliver Riedel (bass player) was interviewed by the newspaper Quebecers Musikuniverse.net and interesting information pops up.

The first confirmed that the DVD will be shot during the concert in New York at Madison Square Garden and a party in Montreal.

The Best of album is scheduled for April 2011 and will include two unreleased tracks.

Rammstein to release GREATEST HITS in 2011

Mexican newspaper “Reform” stated part of an interview with Paul Landers, where he also says that Rammstein will issue Greatest Hits CD in 2011. There should be an unreleased song or more on this CD and shall include also a bonus DVD with bonus content.

EN ESCH: I’m Not The New Singer Of RAMMSTEIN

I found a huge amounth of emails in my mail box. All of them asking about one thing: Is that true that Till Lindemann is leaving Rammstein???

It seems to be a big HOAX.

Former KMFDM and current SLICK IDIOT frontman En Esch has commented on the fake press release that was circulated to media outlets on Monday (July 16) claiming that he was going to become the new singer of RAMMSTEIN.

In a posting on SLICK IDIOT’s official web site, En Esch stated, “Since I have been contacted by many friends and acquaintances about the news that I’m the new singer of RAMMSTEIN, I think I need to set the record straight. Although it sounds interesting, it is not true. I’m working on new SLICK IDIOT material and am in the midst of mixing tracks for MONA MUR. RAMMSTEIN and I are and will stay friends and I wish them the best in their future endeavours.”

As previously reported, RAMMSTEIN’s management has issued the following statement on the made-up press release that announced the departure of the band’s singer Till Lindemann: “[The news that Till would be leaving the group following the completion of its new record] is not true and was not released by either band or management. We have no idea where this comes from. The band is writing a new album at present.”

RAMMSTEIN will issue its “Völkerball” DVD in the U.S. in September. The exact release date will be announced soon.

Rammstein Völkerball finally released

It is finally here. If you want to buy this CD, remember, that “Bildband” is the name of the limited version, which costs 130USD. The best price of special edition in our shop is now 36USD (browse the DVD’s section for special edition, Bildband is in CD’s section and includes picture book with 190 pages – that’s the reason of quite high price).

Update: According to the official site the Limited version release date is changed to November 28th.

Party in Nachtwerk Musikclub

As announced this morning, a Rammstein party will take place at Nachtwerk Musikclub in Karlsruhe, Germany on October 20th. On the site of the organizators of this party is written: “Präsentation der neuen Reise Reise Live DVD” which means “Presentation of the new DVD Live”.

There will not be a preview of DVD of Reise, Reise Tour in this party. The description of the party on the site of Nachtwerk Musikclub was therefore changed to avoid any wrong joy.

For the persons who are really interested, the night club is in about 2 hours of Metz and 3 hours of Nancy. The entrance is fixed to 5 euros and the party will take place from 22 hours till 4 hours.

Official Rammstein site confirmes the release

Official Rammstein server www.rammstein.com informs that (citation): “Now it is announced, and it keeps us bear the next weeks until the release, which date is now set for the 17th of November as well.

The two formats, that already have been introduced, will get a sibling in form of a limited edition. This has been recently worked on.
Völkerball as a high quality photo book with 190 pages in format 27cm x 31 cm will additionally – to the standard and special edition – include an audio CD with further live recordings, which contains the entire concert. The pictures were taken by the French photographer Frederic Batier and address for a big part those areas, which one seldom gets to see. The band, highly concentrated during the last minutes before the concert, the band on stage but also during off-days.”
Völkerball will be released in the following formats (the third is absolutely new one including 4th disc):

“¢ Standard Edition: 2 Disc Set (1 DVD, 140 minutes Live Video + 1 CD, 75 minutes Live Audio).

“¢ Special Edition: 3 Disc Set (1 DVD, 140 minutes Live Video + 1 DVD, 90 minutes Documentation, incl.: Anaconda in the Net + ‘Reise, Reise: The Making Of The Album’ + 1 CD, 75 minutes Live Audio).

“¢ Limited Edition: 190 Pages Tour-Photobook, inkl. All 3 Disc contents of the Special Edition + The Entire Live-Audio-Recordings Of The Concerts (140 minutes) On An Additional 4th Disc!

The price of the third version is still unknown.
