Tuesday, January 11th, 2011Please be kindly advised of the updated statement (EUR 45,000 damages for unauthorized use of line “featuring Rammstein”): Neither the band Apocalyptica nor their management are or were involved in the described lawsuit. However, the parties involved are the band Rammstein and Sony Music Entertainment GmbH, as the successor of the by now defunct affiliated label “Gun Records”.
Apocalyptica and Halbe Miete Management regret the events, but neither had any influence on a violation of trademark and naming rights, nor any part in whatsoever resulting agreements. It is correct, that “Gun Records“ published advertisements with the stated endorsement disregarding existing agreements, and the band Rammstein subsequently filed a lawsuit against Sony Music Entertainment GmbH as the parent company. It is furthermore correct, that Sony Music Entertainment GmbH and Rammstein have agreed on a settlement.
The details of which, however, are unknown to Apocalyptica and Halbe Miete Management. We ask that further articles on the topic correctly reproduce the facts.

EUR 45,000 damages for unauthorized use of line “featuring Rammstein”
Sunday, January 2nd, 2011“Apocalyptica” has to pay 45,000 Euros in damages for trademark infringement and naming rights before the Regional Court of Berlin to the group “Rammstein “.
For their album “Worlds Collide” from the year 2007, the Finnish cellist group Apocalyptica recorded with various guest musicians, including Till Lindemann, singer of the band “Rammstein “.
The album was then advertised by the line “featuring Rammstein”. This happened nationwide with ads in magazines, city light posters and stickers on recordings. Consent of the band “Rammstein” was not present.
This was settled by a proposal by the court, the parties agreed to the payment of 45,000 € as a reasonable royalty. The file number of the procedure is as follows: 16 O 570/08.

“Liebe ist für Alle da” will appear as a Digipack-Standard Edition (11 tracks), as well as a Special Edition that includes 5 additional bonus tracks.
We have just been informed that Universal Music is planning to release a very special “Liebe ist für Alle da” Deluxe-Edition, designed by Rammstein, that is set to appear as an extremely limited edition worldwide during the pre-Christmas period.
As we say: “You’ve got a pussy, we have the dicks” the LIFAD-Deluxe-Cutlery in all it’s splendour will be available: Handcuffs, lubricant, six dildos and the Special Edition as the soundtrack to this. Everything is neatly packed in an aluminium case.

Nice postcard was sent to all members of official Rammstein community. This postcard wishes all fans merry christmas and happy new year. This web joins this wish and wishes you only the best and a lot of success.
Next info about the postcard: if you want to obtain it next year, you will have to register to the community right here: http://www.rammsteincommunity.com/ . You’ll be also charged an annual fee 18 EUR.
I’m also interested if the signatures on the postcard are original or just a copy. I’m enclosing a scan of one postcard so that you can compare it to yours and tell me to comments if you have the same. It’s the only way how to recognize if the signatures are original.
