Rammstein at Big Day Out Australia and New Zealand 2011

Saturday, October 9th, 2010

The Australian music festival, Big Day Out is hosting Rammstein as one of their main shows in Auckland 21st January, Gold Coast 23rd January, Sydney 26-27th January, Melbourne 30th January, Adelaide Febraury 4th and Perth Feb 6 all dates 2011, along with Rammstein, Tool and Iggy and the Stooges.

Here is a line up article on from the big day out website…

A decade since ruling over BIG DAY OUT with a reign of fire, pyrotechnics, monstrous riffs, wicked humour and industrial savagery, RAMMSTEIN will return this summer to reclaim their sovereign territory. The RAMMSTEIN live experience is “dizzyingly ridiculous”, says the BBC. “Rock is at its best when confrontational, subversive, curiously camp and bold, which is why RAMMSTEIN are currently one of the most important bands in the genre.” Armed with their sixth album, Liebe ist für Alle da, Germany’s infamous techno-metal masters bring nothing less than the greatest show on earth: “RAMMSTEIN are in pulverising form, the crowd are going crazy, the atmosphere is electric and the firebombs launching from the stage are like World War III on apocalypse LSD” (The Quietus, February 2010). Bow down to your kings, BIG DAY OUT 2011, for RAMMSTEIN have returned.

Rammstein in Nürnberg on Friday, June 4th 2010 – Rock im Park

Saturday, April 3rd, 2010

The Rock am Ring (Rock at the Ring) and Rock im Park (Rock in the Park) festivals are two simultaneous rock music festivals held annually in Germany. While Rock am Ring takes place at the Nürburgring racetrack in the west of Germany, Rock im Park takes place in and around the Frankenstadion in Nuremberg, in the south east of Germany.

Both festivals are usually regarded as one event with a mostly identical lineup for both festivals. All artists perform one day at Nürburgring and another day in Nuremberg during the three day event. There have been minor exceptions in the past years where an artist will be announced for one of the festivals only.

Together Rock im Park and Rock am Ring are the largest music festivals in Germany and one of the largest in the world with a combined attendance of just over 150,000 people in 2007, selling out both events in advance for the first time.

The four headliners for the 2010 festivals have been confirmed as Kiss, Rammstein, Rage Against The Machine and Muse. Other bands include Them Crooked Vultures, Jay-Z, Slash, Dizzee Rascal, 30 Seconds to Mars, Jan Delay and Disco No. 1, Sportfreunde Stiller, Rise Against, Gossip, Cypress Hill, Motörhead, The Hives, Wolfmother, Editors, Slayer, Stone Sour, Volbeat, Tocotronic, Bullet for my Valentine, Kasabian, Airbourne, Gogol Bordello, Bad Religion, The Subways, Lamb of God, As I Lay Dying, A Day to Remember, Hammerfall, Heaven Shall Burn,The Gallows, Die Sterne, Broilers, Ellie Goulding and Lazer. A Scandal Called Rammstein

Monday, March 29th, 2010

Patricia has successfuly translated the bellow article (Un escándalo llamado Rammstein) – many thanks.

Metallica’s show remains in its infancy next to the adrenaline rush that means a Rammstein concert, considered the most famous industrial metal band in the world.

Rammstein as a group has existed since 1994 but its members singer Till Lindemann, the guitarist Richard Kruspe and Paul Landers, bassist Oliver Riedel, Christoph Schneider drummer and keyboardist Christian Lorenz were forged as musicians, separately and with no cultural connection with foreign countries for years and years of sleeping by day and live in the night playing and singing themes of industrial metal and punk in the basement of the old and dilapidated houses demolished in East Berlin, where the girl germana of eighties drunk wanting to go out and breathe the air of freedom that they meant life in the West, when the world was still divided in two by the existence of the Berlin Wall.

Statement about the planned Rammstein Appearance in Minsk

Thursday, February 25th, 2010

This is a Statement by the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Giro to the media reports about the planned Rammstein Appearance in Minsk:

The concert will be held in Minsk Rammstein – as originally planned – on March 7, 2010.

With a great surprise I had to read the German media reports claiming that the Rammstein Appearance in Minsk can be cancelled. It was only an opinion of a person from the advisory Board – Commission for morality.

In a democratic society, including the Republic of Belarus is, it is common to discuss issues and problems publicly. The Belarusian writer Nikolai Tscherginez has expressed his own opinion and personal expression, not necessarily supported by all Rammstein fans. It is in this context, very unfortunate that instead of a debate about the phenomenon of Rammstein most of the media in Germany took this issue as an opportunity to present Belarus in a negative way.

All the speculation about the alleged prohibition of the performance are hereby expressly rejected. Thousands of spectators from all over Belarus are looking forward to the Rammstein concert on March 7.

From the side of the embassy, I can add that all the artists and the technical team have successfully applied and received their visas. According to the organizers, the Minsk-Arena, is almost sold out.
