Death Mask Procession in London

The website metalhammer.co.uk as announced that Rammstein is staging a ‘Death Mask Procession’ at London’s O2 Arena, on next Friday (February 24th).

There will be offered 100 death masks to the first 100 participants that arrive at the event, as well as candles and facepaint.

Alongside the procession, there will also be a contest for the participants who have a ticket for the O2 Arena concert. The winners will be given a copy of the album Made in Germany 1995-2011 and a pair of tickets to attend a Meet & Greet with the band. The holders of the five best banners brought to the procession will be elected the winners of the contest.

This procession is scheduled to take place before the concert, at 5:30 pm. More details here.

North-American Dates Announced!

The official website as announced more tour dates for the “Made in Germany 1995-2011″ tour, to be held in North America, from April 20th, 2012, until May 25th, 2012. Ticket pre-sales will be available over three weekends during the months of November and December. Members of the official community will be able to buy tickets a day earlier.

Contents of “Made in Germany 1995-2011″ Editions

The facebook page of Universal Music Bulgaria published an article about the “Made in Germany 1995-2011″ album. According to this source, the contents for each edition of the album will be the following:

Standard Edition:

- 1 CD with 20 tracks plus Mein Land.

Deluxe Edition:

- 1 CD with 20 tracks plus Mein Land;
- 1 CD with remixes.

Super Deluxe Metal Box Edition (“rusty” metal box):

- 1 CD with 20 tracks plus Mein Land;
- 1 CD with remixes;
- 2 DVDs with the catalog of all videoclips and their making ofs;
- 1 DVD with several live performances;
- 1 book with never before seen imagery.

New Single: Mein Land

The official site finally announced the song “Mein Land” (“My Country” in English) as Rammstein’s next single. According to the official announcement, this is the first single from the best-of album “Made in Germany 1995-2011″, and will be released on November 11st in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (with the international release date set to November 14th).

The single will be released on CD Digipack format (with 4 tracks) and 7″ vinyl format (with 2 tracks). In addition to “Mein Land,” the yet unrealeased song “Vergiss uns Nicht” (“Do not forget us” in English) will be part of the tracklist. Remixes done by BossHoss and Mogwai are also included.

Finally, the music video for the song “Mein Land” – directed by Jonas Akerlund – will debut on November 11st, in the official site. This information can be confirmed here (in English).

UPDATE: As we have informed already in 2007 the song “Vergiss uns nicht” shall be a duet with a German rapper Bushido.

Deathstars supports Rammstein this year

Rammstein have announced through their oficial site that the Industrial Metal band Deathstars will be the supporting act for the shows scheduled for 2011. Its not yet known if they will support again Rammstein in 2012. Click here for the original announcement.

Yet Another Concert in Paris

The official site updated the list of concerts for the upcoming “Made in Germany 1995-2011″ tour, with an additional concert in Paris for March 7th 2012. Ticket pre-sales start July 13th.

Update on Upcoming Tour and Next Live DVD

Christian Flake Lorenz was interviewed by the japanese magazine “Burrn!”, while Rammstein were touring north-america in May. Flake confirmed in that interview that the concerts of New York and Montreal from past December were indeed recorded, and will be used as material for the next live DVD. A spanish translation of the original interview can be found at Rammstein Mexico.

Regarding the upcoming tour, Christoph Schneider gave an interview to the mexican television channel “TeleHit”, where he confirmed that such tour will indeed have a new setlist, comprised of Rammstein greatest hits. You can view the interview here (in english, with spanish subtitles).

Finally, concerts for Finland and Belgium have already sold-out, within hours after tickets were put on sale. You can confirm this information here.

Additional concert in Moscow

The official site of Rammstein published an additional concert for Moscow, in February 11th 2012, also in the Sport Complex Olympiski. The pre-sale tickets for that date will also be on July 8th 2011 (this friday). There are now a total of 42 concerts scheduled for the “Made in Germany 1995-2011″ tour.
