New video confirmed

On May 23rd, the band recorded the 22th Rammstein video in LA (the title is to be announced).

The director was again Jonas Åkerlund, who made Ich tu dir weh, Pussy, and Mann gegen Mann before

The shooting location was Sycamore Beach in Malibu, that is well known for a wide array of movies and music videos filmed there.

Echo 2011 – vote for Rammstein

ECHO music awards are one of the greatest music awards worldwide. In 1992 ECHO joined Brit Awards and Grammy. Now you can vote for the best video, and of course vote for Rammstein’s Ich tu dir weh (Click on “Jetzt für dieses Video abstimmen!“)

Apparently The Official Playstation Magazine UK has printed a partial set list for the upcoming Guitar Hero title. Considering this is the internet, this was promptly scanned and placed online. With bands such as Children of Bodum, AFI, Black Sabbath, My Chemical Romance, Slayer, Ozzie, and The Cure metal, goth and emo music are pretty well covered. Thankfully, bands such as ZZ Top, Muse, Silversun Pickups and Queen round thing out in this initial list.

And the most important thing for all Rammstein fans: WAIDMANNS HEIL is included!

The Main Square Festival is a music festival located in Arras, France. The festival takes place in early July. In 2008, Celine Dion played her full Taking Chances Tour Set list. In 2009, Coldplay, Placebo, Kanye West and the Kaiser Chiefs played at the festival, as well as many other musical acts. The 2010 festival features Rammstein, Pearl Jam and Pink!

Rock Werchter is a Belgian annual music festival held in the village of Werchter, near Brussels, since 1974. It is one of the four biggest annual rock music festivals in Europe (the other three being the Sziget Festival, the Glastonbury Festival and Roskilde Festival). The 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2007 festivals received the Arthur award for best festival in the world at International Live Music Conference (ILMC). It can host 80.000 guests, of which 69.000 combine all four days, to add up to a total of 113.000 different attendees.

2010 LINEUP

Starting December 7 one name was confirmed every day for five days, leading up to the start of the ticket pre-sale. Since the 1st of April 2010, the line-up looks like this:

The Metaltown Festival is a two day festival featuring heavy metal music bands, held in Gothenburg, Sweden. It has been arranged annually since 2004, taking place at the Frihamnen venue.

The most recent festival, 26-27 June 2009, included bands such as Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, Opeth, Napalm Death, and Disturbed.

The Rock am Ring (Rock at the Ring) and Rock im Park (Rock in the Park) festivals are two simultaneous rock music festivals held annually in Germany. While Rock am Ring takes place at the Nürburgring racetrack in the west of Germany, Rock im Park takes place in and around the Frankenstadion in Nuremberg, in the south east of Germany.

Both festivals are usually regarded as one event with a mostly identical lineup for both festivals. All artists perform one day at Nürburgring and another day in Nuremberg during the three day event. There have been minor exceptions in the past years where an artist will be announced for one of the festivals only.

Together Rock im Park and Rock am Ring are the largest music festivals in Germany and one of the largest in the world with a combined attendance of just over 150,000 people in 2007, selling out both events in advance for the first time.

The four headliners for the 2010 festivals have been confirmed as Kiss, Rammstein, Rage Against The Machine and Muse.
